ShedFest 2026 Automotive Photography at Bolesworth Castle
In May, I was back shooting for AutoAlex and co again, this time covering ShedFest 2026 at the incredible Bolesworth Castle.
The venue was amazing. With the castle, the beautiful grounds, and the scale of the event, ShedFest 2026 felt like a real step up. It had all the character and fun you would expect from an AutoAlex event, but with a setting that made the whole day feel even more special.
The atmosphere was electric from start to finish. It was also very hot, which definitely made things interesting while carrying camera gear around all day, but the turnout, the cars, and the energy of the event made it more than worth it.
About This ShedFest 2026 Gallery
This gallery brings together a selection of images from ShedFest 2026, covering the cars, people, details, and atmosphere from the day.
Bolesworth Castle made a brilliant backdrop for automotive photography. The mix of open grounds, event displays, crowds, and the hill climb gave the photoset a lot of variety. It was not just a case of capturing cars parked up; there was movement, noise, action, and plenty happening throughout the day.
For an event like ShedFest, the aim is always to capture the feeling of being there. The cars are obviously a huge part of it, but so are the people, the setting, and the small moments that make the event memorable.
The Hill Climb at ShedFest 2026
The hill climb was the centrepiece of the event, and the drivers absolutely smashed it. Some more literally than others.
There was plenty of commitment on show, with drivers giving the crowd exactly what they came to see. A special mention has to go to Tom Lenthall, who made things especially memorable after hitting the hay barrier. It was one of those moments that summed up the energy of the day: entertaining, slightly chaotic, and very ShedFest.
From a photography point of view, the hill climb added a completely different side to the gallery. It gave me the chance to capture action, movement, reactions, and some of the more unpredictable moments that you only get at a live automotive event.
Working With AutoAlex Again
It was great to be back working with AutoAlex and the team again. Having covered previous projects and events with them, it is always enjoyable to return with a clear understanding of the pace, style, and type of content they need.
ShedFest 2026 had a brilliant turnout and plenty of opportunities to create strong content. Between the cars on display, the hill climb, the crowd, and the venue itself, there was no shortage of things to photograph.
The final gallery was about capturing the day properly: the scale of the event, the fun around it, and the moments that made ShedFest 2026 stand out.
